As part of the celebrations for Vesak 2570 (Buddhist Era) and Hue Festival 2026, the Vegetarian Food Festival - Hue Festival 2026 officially opened on the afternoon of May 28th (the 12th day of the fourth lunar month) at the riverside area along the Perfume River. The event is jointly organized by the Executive Board of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in Hue City and the Organizing Committee of Hue Festival 2026.

On the morning of May 29, the Department of Tourism, in collaboration with the project “Hue - A plastic-reduced smart city in Central Vietnam” (TVA) project/WWF-Viet Nam, organized the event “From Check-in Green Hue to Plastic-Free Tourism - A Journey of Spreading”.

A consultation workshop on finalizing policies to support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) was jointly organized on May 18th by the Agency for Private Enterprise and Collective Economy Development under the Ministry of Finance and the International Labor Organization.

On the afternoon of May 19th, the Sub-Department of Irrigation and Climate Change, the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Hue City, organized a seminar themed “Community Joins Hands in Natural Disaster Prevention and Control”.

On the morning of May 17, the People’s Committee of Dan Dien Commune organized a community running race themed “Dan Dien - A tourist destination” 2026.

On the evening of May 15, the Department of Finance, in collaboration with the City Young Business Association, and Soc do Joint Stock Company - socsdo.vn e-commerce platform, organized a program titled “Unlocking Revenue Growth with Zalo - AI - CRM Ecosystem”. The program attracted the participation of over 100 businesses and household enterprises in the area.

On the afternoon of May 13th, the Women’s Union, in coordination with the Youth Union of Thuy Xuan Ward and sponsoring units, organized the launch ceremony for the “Kitchen of Love” model and signed a partnership program to support gas stoves for poor households, near-poor households, policy beneficiary families, and disadvantaged households in the ward.

This was the theme of a workshop jointly organized on May 7-8 by the University of Agriculture and Forestry, Hue University, in collaboration with Viet Nature Conservation Centre, Hue Forest Owners Sustainable Development Association (HUE-FOSDA), Hue City Forest Protection Department, and Phong Dien Nature Reserve Management Board.

The Duong No Village Festival 2026, jointly organized by Ho Chi Minh Museum in Hue City and Duong No Ward People’s Committee on the occasion of the 136th Birth Anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2026), and in response to the Summer Festival 2026, will take place from May 14 to 16.

With the theme “Echoes of Books - Resonance of Heritage” a contest exploring the Hue Bookcase, jointly organized by the Hue City Department of Culture and Sports, Hue Institute for Development Studies, and the Institute of Digital Transformation and Learning Resources (Hue University), will take place from April 22 to May 25.
