On June 19th, a working delegation from Tuyen Quang Provincial People's Committee, led by Vice Chairwoman of Tuyen Quang Provincial People's Committee Vuong Ngoc Ha, had a meeting with Hue City People's Committee to exchange experience in heritage management, preservation, and promotion in connection with tourism development and cultural industries.

As part of its tourism promotion and air route development mission in China, on June 1, a delegation from Hue City attended the “Vietnam-China Aviation and Tourism Connectivity” program, organized by the Airports Corporation of Vietnam (ACV) in Shanghai, China.

With its potential and advantages in natural resources, local culture, traditional craft villages, and agricultural and fishing livelihoods, regional zoning linked with eco-tourism and community-based tourism (CBT) development orientations will help promote sustainable tourism growth in Hue.

On the afternoon of May 5th in Hanoi, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism held a working session with Hue City People’s Committee on the development of culture, sports, and tourism, as well as the preservation and promotion of heritage values.

Following the Hung Kings’ Commemoration Day, Hue continues to see a surge in visitors during the April 30 - May 1 holiday, with occupancy rates at many accommodation establishments are near full capacity. After five editions, the VnExpress Marathon Hue has made tangible contributions to the city’s overall development landscape. On the morning of March 25th, the Office of Hue City People’s Committee announced that, as part of the Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh’s official visit to the Russian Federation in Moscow, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh, Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee and Permanent Vice Chairman of Hue City People’s Committee, held a working session with the Russian Federation Tourism Association to promote cooperation and tourism development between Hue City and Russia.

On the afternoon of March 12th, the Swiss Tourism for Sustainable Development Project in Vietnam officially signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with two leading tourism training institutions in central Vietnam: the School of Hospitality and Tourism - Hue University and Hue Tourism College. Attending the signing ceremony was Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee and Standing Vice Chairman of the Hue City People's Committee, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh.

After Binh Ngo Lunar New Year 2026, Hue City has not only recorded impressive growth figures in its tourism sector but more importantly, a new approach is gradually taking shape: development rooted in cultural identity, organized with modern thinking, and placing the community at the center.

In the coming time, the tourism sector will enhance the promotion of culinary tourism through culinary events and festivals, and create unique culinary tours to promote the advantages of local cuisine and enhance the tourism experience for visitors.
