To create a joyful and vibrant atmosphere before, during, and after the Lunar New Year of the Horse (Binh Ngo) 2026, Thuan Hoa Ward will organize the Thuan Hoa Spring Festival Binh Ngo 2026 at Hue Book and Culture Space (23 - 25 Le Loi Street, Thuan Hoa Ward). The program, themed “Dung dang dung de - Welcoming Spring in joy and good health”, will take place on February 1.

On the morning of January 1st, in the warm sunshine on the first morning of the new year, the area around Ngo Mon Gate of Hue Imperial Citadel became lively as the Nguyen Dynasty Ban Soc ceremony was reenacted in a theatricalized format, officially opening Hue Festival 2026. The event also marked the first festival of the year, attracting a large number of local residents and visitors.

On December 28, Hue City Youth Union organized the “Youth entrepreneurship and digital transformation” Festival 2025 at Aeon Mall Hue Shopping Center (An Cuu Ward).

On December 23, at Hue City Police, Emulation Group No. 2 of the Ministry of Public Security held the opening ceremony for a Sports Festival celebrating the 80th anniversary of the People's Public Security Staff Force Traditional Day (April 18, 1946 - April 18, 2026).

From a pupil who taught himself the bamboo flute, Nguyen Cong Minh, now a fourth-year student at Hue Academy of Music, won a Gold Medal for his solo flute performance of “Remembering the River” at the extended National Music Festival 2025.

On the evening of December 18, in Hue City, a ceremony was held to officially receive the national intangible cultural heritage title for folk knowledge related to Bun Bo Hue (Hue Beef Noodle Soup), alongside the opening of the International Culinary Festival “Hue - Culinary Capital”.

On the morning of December 14, the People's Committee of Phong Dinh Ward held the opening ceremony for the first Phong Dinh Ward Sports Festival in 2025, in preparation for Hue City Sports Festival in 2026.

Held for the first time in Hue City, the International Tea Festival - Hue 2025 (taking place from December 10th to 12th) not only contributes to honoring Vietnamese tea culture but also is expected to serve as an important starting point, laying the foundation for the formation of a profound cultural, artistic, and tourism-oriented annual event, helping enrich Hue’s identity and enhance its attractiveness.

After three days of activities, the International Tea Festival - Hue 2025 officially concluded on the evening of December 12th with a closing ceremony and the artistic performance titled “Moon Dance of Tea Blossoms”.

“An voc, hoc hay” (Eat well, Study well) was the theme of Vietnam Cultural Heritage Festival, organized by Vietnam Heritage Education in coordination with Journeys in Hue and Chan Restaurant on the morning of November 30 at 19 Nguyen Thai Hoc Street, Hue City.

The Ban Soc (Calendar Distribution) Ceremony of the Nguyen Dynasty marks the commencement of Hue Festival 2024, portrayed through a staged performance that revives ancient rituals and customs.

Taking place from April 28 to May 5 with the theme "The Quintessence of Vietnamese Craftsmanship", Hue Traditional Craft Festival 2023 brings together 21 craft groups with the participation of 69 craft villages, craft establishments, and over 350 artisans coming from famous craft villages in the country.
