On the afternoon of May 8th, the Standing Committee of Hue City Party Committee held a working session with a delegation from the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology (VAST), led by Prof. Dr. Tran Hong Thai, Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Head of the Central Policy and Strategy Commission, and President of VAST, to assess the implementation results of the 2025–2030 science and technology cooperation agreement between the two parties.

The National Freestyle and Greco-Roman Wrestling Club Championship 2026 concluded at noon on May 8 in Hue City. At the Championship, the host team made a remarkable breakthrough in the freestyle wrestling overall standings.

The 3rd HTA Group Cup Football Tournament – 2026 kicked off on the afternoon of May 7 at Green City Stadium (My Thuong Ward, Hue City). On the afternoon of March 7, the art photography exhibition themed “Perspectives on heritage” offered the public an emotionally rich artistic space, featuring 90 works by photographers from Hanoi, Hue, and Ho Chi Minh City. The event is part of a literature and arts exchange program closely following the traditional relationship of “Hanoi - Hue - Saigon”, which has been maintained since 2023.

On the afternoon of May 5th in Hanoi, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism held a working session with Hue City People’s Committee on the development of culture, sports, and tourism, as well as the preservation and promotion of heritage values.

The Duong No Village Festival 2026, jointly organized by Ho Chi Minh Museum in Hue City and Duong No Ward People’s Committee on the occasion of the 136th Birth Anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2026), and in response to the Summer Festival 2026, will take place from May 14 to 16.

On May 5, following the directives of the City People’s Committee and in line with Resolution 55/2025/NQ-HĐND, Hue Monuments Conservation Center announced a pilot program to verify eligibility for the beneficiaries of reduced heritage entrance fees via the e-ticketing system.
