While Hue Festival was previously held biennially, creating impressive “peak” moments yet remaining largely seasonal, with the model of a four-season Festival, Hue has now chosen a more sustainable direction: Turning culture and heritage into an ever-present rhythm within the city’s daily life.

The principal of Quoc Hoc - Hue High School for the Gifted announced that Hue City has three 12th-grade students exempted from the 2026 National High School Graduation Examination and granted priority direct admission to universities and colleges. All three students are from Quoc Hoc - Hue High School for the Gifted.

On the afternoon of May 8th, the Standing Committee of Hue City Party Committee held a working session with a delegation from the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology (VAST), led by Prof. Dr. Tran Hong Thai, Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Head of the Central Policy and Strategy Commission, and President of VAST, to assess the implementation results of the 2025–2030 science and technology cooperation agreement between the two parties.

The National Freestyle and Greco-Roman Wrestling Club Championship 2026 concluded at noon on May 8 in Hue City. At the Championship, the host team made a remarkable breakthrough in the freestyle wrestling overall standings.

The 3rd HTA Group Cup Football Tournament – 2026 kicked off on the afternoon of May 7 at Green City Stadium (My Thuong Ward, Hue City). Beyond serving as a healthy sporting playground, the event also provides an opportunity for participating organizations to demonstrate their social responsibility toward the community.

On the evening of May 7, Vice Chairman of Hue City People’s Committee Ha Van Tuan had a meeting with investors at Chan May - Lang Co Economic Zone to review the implementation progress of industrial, logistics, seaports, and service infrastructure projects in the area.

On the afternoon of March 7, the art photography exhibition themed “Perspectives on heritage” offered the public an emotionally rich artistic space, featuring 90 works by photographers from Hanoi, Hue, and Ho Chi Minh City. The event is part of a literature and arts exchange program closely following the traditional relationship of “Hanoi - Hue - Saigon”, which has been maintained since 2023.

On the afternoon of May 5th in Hanoi, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism held a working session with Hue City People’s Committee on the development of culture, sports, and tourism, as well as the preservation and promotion of heritage values.
