Hue City's implementation of the project to develop Hue Central Hospital and Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital into international-standard, high-tech medical centers not only opens up a new chapter of development for the two leading medical facilities but also elevates Hue's healthcare sector in the new era.

On the afternoon of June 29, the Department of Science and Technology held a conference to gather feedback from experts, scientists, and relevant agencies and organizations on the draft proposal for the Hue High-Tech Park. On the afternoon of March 30th, Hue Central Hospital announced that it had signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with MicroPort MedBot (China) and Hanoi Foreign Medical (HFM) to establish the first Vietnam-China Robotic Surgery Training Center in Vietnam. This is considered an important step in the strategy for developing high-tech medicine, contributing to enhancing professional capacity and international integration of Vietnam’s healthcare sector.

On January 31, FPT Hue Primary, Secondary, and High School held the Open STEM Day 2026. The large-scale education and technology event, held for the first time in Hue, marked a significant step forward in promoting STEM education, artificial intelligence (AI), and digital transformation in general education.

On the afternoon of November 21st, the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) held a workshop titled: “Solutions to Improve the Qualifications of Research work force, Technology, and Business Management Personnel to Apply and Master High Technology and Advanced Technology in Order to Increase Productivity and Quality of Key Products in the City, Aiming toward Developing National Products”. The discussion focused on solutions to elevate Hue cajeput essential oil into a national-level product.
