Within the cultural complex of Hue, if the system of palaces and royal tombs defines the face of an Imperial capital, the villages along the lagoon and coastline preserve the depth of community life. There, heritage does not lie dormant in the past but lives on in every festival season, every daily custom, and every belief tied to the natural environment. The Cau Ngu Festival of Thai Duong village, held once every three years in January at the Thuan An seaport, is precisely such a heritage - a vibrant cultural practice where community memory, maritime knowledge, and the will to survive have woven together into an enduring whole across hundreds of years.

On the morning of February 26 (the 10th day of the first lunar month), Sinh Village wrestling festival in Duong No Ward, Hue City, officially opened in a vibrant atmosphere, drawing large crowds of residents and visitors from across the region to cheer and compete in the arena.

As the complex developments of heavy rains and floods continued, from the afternoon to evening of October 22nd, officials of Duong No Ward set up checkpoints and assisted residents in safely crossing flooded areas.

On the morning of October 19, Hue Hieu Hoc Education Fund held a scholarship award ceremony for students from Duong No Ward and various high schools across Hue City.

That is the vast green casuarina forest that the people of Thai Duong Thuong village (formerly Hai Duong Commune, now part of Thuan An Ward, Hue City) planted decades ago to shield them from the winds, stop the sand, and protect the village. Amidst the vast sky and land, the casuarina trees grow lush and strong, becoming a sturdy shield, guarding the village from waves and winds, and the harshness of the sea.

The fresh and vibrant lotus flowers were offered by the delegates to President Ho Chi Minh at the special national relic site, Uncle Ho’s Childhood Memorial House in Duong No Village (Duong No Ward, Thuan Hoa District) on the morning of May 18.

Nearly 100 students from primary schools, art centers, and gifted drawing classes across Hue City came together to take part in an art festival themed “Loving Family”. The event was organized by Hue Museum of Fine Arts on May 17th at Ho Chi Minh Memorial House (Duong No Ward, Thuan Hoa District).

On April 15th, Zhi Shan Foundation, in coordination with the Center for Social Work and Child Protection Fund, and Thuan Hoa District Department of Education and Training, held the inauguration ceremony of a friendly library at Thuy Van Primary School and presented classroom book cabinets to three schools: Duong No Primary School, Phu Thanh Secondary School, and Nguyen Thi Minh Khai Secondary School.

Following the approval of the project to build a community-based beach tourism model in Hai Duong Commune, now in Thuan An Ward, Thuan Hoa District, by Hue City People's Council (formerly) in July 2023, the infrastructure in this place is gradually being completed, serving the sightseeing and swimming needs of locals and visitors, contributing to enhancing the economic value of the beach and lagoon.

As scheduled, on the morning of February 7, thousands of locals and visitors flocked to the communal house area of Lai An village (also known as Sinh village), Duong No Ward (Thuan Hoa District) to watch the wrestling festival. The Sinh village wrestling festival is a traditional festival with a rich martial spirit, and over 400 years old in the Ancient Capital land.
