On the morning of October 9th, Hue Central Hospital, in coordination with Hue City Geriatrics Association, organized a training program and an activity session for its Older Adults Club. The activities aimed to update the professional knowledge of healthcare workers while strengthening health counseling and care for the elderly in the city.

On October 8th, Hue Odonto-Stomatology Hospital organized a School Dental Health Program at Thuy Duong Primary School in Thanh Thuy Ward to strengthen dental care and prevent oral diseases among students.

Leftover fabric scraps, after being carefully selected and pieced together, have found a ‘new life’ as unique handmade products. What makes these products more meaningful is that they are made by children at Tam Binh Center for Children with Disabilities (Thuy Xuan Ward, Hue City). The initiative not only helps reduce material waste, but also provides a meaningful vocational learning environment for children with disabilities.

On September 27, the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of the Department of Health organized a health check-up and consultation program for children being cared for and raised at Facility 3 of Hue City Social Work and Child Protection Center (formerly Hue SOS Children’s Village).

Through his quiet acts of compassion, he has come to be regarded by those living with the lingering consequences of war as a real-life “Mr. But” - a benevolent figure in Vietnamese folklore.

The care that Nguyen Phan’s children take of his father’s art legacy is rare and admirable. For a long time, they have been preserving his father’s paintings and sculptures, searching for his missing ones, and making them a family’s legacy to pass to their younger generations, including documents and records of his monuments and public green spaces.

On the morning of July 25, the Department of Education and Training held a working session with schools and local authorities on preparations for launching the boarding inter-level schools in A Luoi 3 and A Luoi 4 communes, to ensure conditions are in place for teaching, student care and support from the beginning of the new academic year.

On July 20, Hue Central Hospital hosted the 7th Imperial City Eye Meeting 2026 (ICEM 2026) under the theme “From Fundamentals to Challenges in Surgery.” Taking place from July 20 - 22, the event brings together over 200 ophthalmologists, researchers, and healthcare professionals from Vietnam and abroad to discuss the latest advances in ophthalmology, strengthen international collaboration, and enhance the quality of eye care services for the public.

On July 13th and 14th, Hue Odonto-Stomatology Hospital, in collaboration with Hong Lien Foundation, Inc., organized a community outreach program providing free dental examinations, consultations, and treatment, along with charitable donations, for residents in the mountainous district of A Luoi. The initiative aims to improve oral health while promoting compassion and supporting social welfare.
