According to statistics from the Department of Tourism, during the nine-day Lunar New Year of the Snake (At Ty)holiday from January 25th to February 2nd (December 26th to the January 5th in the lunar calendar), Hue welcomed an estimated 150,300 visitors, marking a nearly 37% increase compared to the same period during the Year of the Dragon Tet holiday in 2024.

Overcoming 200 applicants to advance to the next round, the little girl Nguyen Khanh Ly (Hue City) excellently won the first runner-up and she was crowned at the final round of the “Global Child Supermodel” competition.

The long Lunar New Year holiday combined with the rising number of cases has kept the doctors and medical staff at Hue Central Hospital (HCH) constantly on duty without rest. On the afternoon of January 18, at the space of 23-25 Le Loi St., Thuan Hoa Ward, 40 children and their parents had a chance to join in an activity of experiencing cooking tet cakes to celebrate Tet holiday. This program was held by the Hue Book and Culture Club.

On the morning of January 14, Kim Long Motor Hue Joint Stock Company and Changan Automobile Group officially announced the plan to build the Kim Long Truong An Vietnam passenger car manufacturing plant (5-7 seats).

During his lifetime, Ung Binh Thuc Gia Thi (1877 - 1961) was a renowned poet from Hue, leaving behind a legacy of nearly 2,000 poems in both Vietnamese and Chinese characters. He was also celebrated as a highly skilled composer of traditional Hue Tuong.

In Hue, the remaining educational institutions of the monarchy such as Quoc Tu Giam or the Temple of Literature were restored and QuocTu Giam was selected as a place to honor the "honorary students of the whole school" of Thua Thien Hue province.
