From purchased pieces of broken ceramic bowls, the talented hands of Hue ceramic mosaic artisans have revived the majestic appearance of flying dragons and dancing phoenixes on Hue Ancient Capital's monuments, pagodas, temples...

Besides the lively and beautifully decorated spring outing places, in recent years, one of the destinations on the days of Tet that many people have chosen to visit is the museum. Therefore, museums also open during Tet to serve the public’s demand of enjoying arts.

This year's gallery introduced to the public 28 works by 8 artists and 7 children on the theme of the Dragon, using mainly acrylic on canvas and lacquer.

It had been a long time since Hue had a “reunion” of works by famous artists that attracted a large number of viewers. That exhibition is the result of an arduous 5-year collecting process since the establishment of Hue Museum of Fine Arts at the end of 2018.

In addition to the ordinary exhibitions, Hue Museum of Fine Art needs to aim to the assistance of digital technology to attract more viewers and provide them with more hands-on experience. What is meant by digital technology is the its focus on digitizing data and exploiting smart remedies for the exhibits.

Among the thousands of artifacts which Mrs. Cecile Le Pham, the owner of Cecile Le Pham Museum of Fine Arts at 53 Ham Nghi St., possesses, the collection of ancient Indochinese banknotes brings viewers an interesting perspective on the currency that used to circulate in Vietnam during the French colonial period.

Many of the dozens of artifacts recently received by the Thua Thien Hue History Museum from donors are considered extremely rare by experts. These artifacts are cultural heritage associated with the land, people, cultural life, the period of resistance against invaders, and the construction and defense of the Fatherland by the army and people of Thua Thien Hue.

On the evening of January 21st, Thua Thien Hue Dance Artists Association organized a summary of its activities in 2023.

On the afternoon of January 21, the exhibition by the Huong River Antique Pottery Museum, included a cultural and artistic seminar along with a calligraphy exhibition focused on the theme “Imperial City of Hue in Poetry - Emperor Thieu Tri and the Collection of Ngu De Do Hoi Verses”.

Ms. Dinh Thi Hoai Trai, Director of the Hue Fine Arts Museum, announced on January 19th that the museum received nearly 60,000 visitors in 2023. Visitors were mainly attracted to Le Ba Dang and Diem Phung Thi art exhibitions. According to Ms. Trai, this figure represents a 40% increase compared to that of the year 2022.
