A Nor community-based tourism village (Hong Kim Commune, A Luoi District) captivates visitors with its majestic natural beauty and vibrant local culture. The area is paving a new path for tourism that connects history, wellness, and traditional healing.

In late March, thousands of locals and tourists flocked to the Ethnic Cultural Village of A Luoi District to attend the “Highland Spring Colors of A Luoi” festival. Many were deeply moved by a dramatic excerpt from the Ar Puc Festival, which recreated the love story of Cu Hun, Thail, and Klai.

In the festive atmosphere of the “Colors of Spring in the Highlands” celebration in A Luoi, amidst the “tung tung da da” dances and echoing gong sounds, I was fortunate to witness a special ritual of the Co Tu people - the An Ninh Pa Nua festival. This is one of their ancient traditional ceremonies, expressing the sacred feelings of the bride’s family toward the groom’s family after many years of being in-laws.

As part of the plan to organize the National Tourism Year and Hue Festival 2025, the spring festival - “Spring of the Ancient Capital” has many unique programs and activities. Not only are there festival activities in the city center, but in the land on the majestic Truong Son mountain range, the “Spring Colors of A Luoi Highlands” festival would create more highlights and impressions for visitors to Hue this March.

On April 2nd, Hue Museum of Fine Arts announced the conclusion of the creating program on the theme “Traditional Art of A Luoi”.

Responding to the “Ao Dai Week”, women across A Luoi have been donning their traditional ao dai, shining in costumes made from Zeng fabric. The fusion of ao dai Vietnam with the intricate patterns of A Luoi Zeng fabric creates a look that is both graceful and deeply rich heritage value.

The Hue Museum of Fine Arts, in collaboration with A Luoi District People’s Committee and Hanoi Urban Sketching Group, launched the “A Luoi traditional art” creation program on March 29th.

On the morning of March 29, “A Luoi Highland Spring Colors Festival” 2025 officially opened at the Communal House in the Ethnic Minority Culture Village of A Luoi District (Hong Thanh Commune). The event attracted a large number of ethnic minorities and tourists from both inside and outside the province to experience the unique cultural space of the mountainous region.

When February drifts through the vast forests of the Truong Son range, A Luoi adorns itself with a vibrant purple cloak of myrtle blossoms. Hillsides, mountain slopes, and valleys are blanketed in a dreamy purple hue, painting a poetic and enchanting landscape that captivates visitors from near and far.

There is one phone number that most people in the villages of the border commune Lam Dot (A Luoi) know by heart: the phone number of Major Doan Xuan Phuoc, a military medic of the A Dot Border Guard Station, who is currently stationed at the combined military-civilian clinic of the commune.
