Vesak day is coming

Hue’s bustling Vesak celebrationHuyen Khong Son Thuong Pagoda - A watercolor painting

Being home to more than 300 pagodas and Buddhist recitation halls from large to small scale, it is no exaggeration to say that Vesak day (Buddha’s birthday) is one of the most beautiful occasions of the year in Hue. In this place, the spiritual values of Buddhism have entered people's hearts, as well as spreading in the community and becoming an important cultural and spiritual element in the deep and pure religious life of Hue people.

On the Vesak day, Thua Thien Hue Weekly would like to introduce photos of deep and respectful meditation, which were taken by the photographer Phan Trung, as praying for gentleness and peace to each person, each home and this life.
