Admiring the Huong River

HNN.VN - Although the Huong River is just located humbly in the area of Thua Thien Hue, this river is still full of beauty from being fierce in the sections of waterfalls in the upstream of the old forest to being gentle and fond when flowing through the delta. Just like that, the Huong River has been an indispensable part in the deep spiritual life of Hue people and Hue culture.

In 2023, for the very first time, the artistic cultural program named “Gratitude to the Huong River” has been held in the framework of Hue Traditional Craft Festival with various activities attracting the participation of the community and tourists. It aims to express gratitude to the sacred river for bestowing alluvium for the great harvests and “joining hands” to build up the cultural sediments for the country. Thua Thien Hue Newspaper would like to introduce to readers the gorgeous corners of the Huong River through a series of photos taken by the photographer Phan Trung as a way to reaffirm the proud of a watery area of friendly, hospitable and eco-friendly people.
