Sparkling flower boats in "Gratitude to the Huong River" show
HNN.VN - On the evening of May 1, at the stage bordering on the Huong River – the Ironwood Bridge - Nguyen Dinh Chieu pedestrian street, the art program "Gratitude to the Huong River" took place with many musical performances and flower boat performances.

The Huong River is not only a geographical entity but also a precious gem that the Creator has bestowed on Hue. The preservation, respect, humane behavior, and gratitude of the Huong River are what those who live in the nurture of the river need to inculcate.
According to the organizers, the musical program included songs written about the Huong River and songs about Hue. Through the art program, the public is helped to better understand the Huong River, thereby becoming more conscious of preserving the beauty of the river.
The musical program was then followed by the rowing of 36 colorful and sparkling flower boats from wards and communes of Hue City moving on the Huong River between Truong Tien and Phu Xuan bridges, then up towards Da Vien Bridge, and then moved back to the central area.
In order to have beautiful flower boats, many units have invested methodically in the design and decoration of boats bearing the identity of each locality.
Mr. Huynh Bao, Vice Chairman of Hai Duong Commune People's Committee said: "We conceptualized and designed images with characteristics of marine products – the resources of the fishermen. All icons were made with eye-catching 3D images. Hai Duong flower boat was decorated with the image of a 2.5m long bluefin tuna as the main theme. The unit invested 15 million dongs, using 250 sets of led lights to create many effects to make the flower boat more splendid.
