Thua Thien Hue province attends the Ceremony of Vietnam-Laos Solidarity Year 2017 in Savannakhet province

The "Viet Nam - Laos Solidarity and Friendship Year 2017" in Savannakhet province had the attendance of official delegations from Thua Thien Hue, Quang Binh, Quang Tri provinces and Ho Chi Minh City with more than 600 delegates from Vietnam and Laos. Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Santiphap PHOMVIHAN - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Governor of Savannakhet province affirmed the traditional friendship in the struggle for national liberation of the two nations Vietnam - Laos has always stood shoulder to shoulder, shared the sorrow and mirth to gain the independence and freedom. Today, the two countries Laos - Vietnam in general, the localities of the two countries in particular have increased cooperation on the fields of politics, economy, culture and science-technology, contributing to the development of the especial friendship, solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos.

In the shape of the Ceremony of Vietnam - Laos Solidarity Year 2017, on July 27, the delegation of Thua Thien Hue delegation came to burn incense and offer flowers at the statue of President Ho Chi Minh, offered flowers at the statue of President Kayson PHOMVIHAN, visited the memorial house, burned incense at the house of President Kayson PHOMVIHAN and paid a courtesy call on Mr. Santiphap PHOMVIHAN - Member of Central Committee, Secretary of Provincial Party Committee, Governor of Savannakhet province. At the courtesy call, Mr Bui Thanh Ha - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee informed the situation of socio-economic development of Thua Thien Hue province in the first 6 months of 2017; highly evaluated the effectiveness of cooperation between Thua Thien Hue and Savannakhet in the past years, especially in education and training. At the same time, Mr Bui Thanh Ha expressed his sincere thanks for the help of Savannakhet province in searching and recruiting the remains of Vietnamese soldiers and volunteer specialists who died in Laos to Vietnam, as well as created conditions for Vietnamese people living and working in Savannakhet. Mr. Santiphap PHOMVIHAN also highly evaluated the cooperation between the two provinces in recent years and affirmed that together with Thua Thien Hue province, they will implement the MOU between the two provinces with the highest results.

On this occasion, the delegation of Thua Thien Hue province attended the Opening Ceremony of Goods exhibition of businesses from Ho Chi Minh City in Savannakhet and visited the exhibition booths.
