Hue University of Education organizes a meeting responding to World Environment Day

The event featured many contents and activities including an exhibition of paintings and photos on environmental protection; a bike parade to propagate environmental protection on some roads in Hue City; and planting green trees, etc.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Van Phuc, Deputy Minister of MOET proposed to continue strengthening the propaganda and education activities so as to raise the awareness and responsibilities of officials, lecturers, teachers, and students for the environmental protection; promoting the inclusion of contents on environmental protection, sustainable development, disaster prevention and response to climate change of Vietnam in education and training curricula within the national education system, etc.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Mr. Nguyen Dung affirmed that with the local responsibility, the province would continue to direct the provincial education sector to join hands to spread the "Green Sunday" movement for environmental action, with the motto that each educational institution, official, teacher, and student contributes a project, a part, an initiative to make Thua Thien Hue become greener - cleaner - brighter.
