250 athletes participate in the national 25m-pool Swimming and Diving Championship 2022

HNN.VN - The national 25m-pool Swimming and Diving championship 2022 was officially opened on the morning of March 6 at the Provincial Sports Center (swimming pool at No. 2 Le Quy Don street, Hue City).

The tournament attracts nearly 250 athletes from 23 provinces, cities and sectors across the country (13 swimming groups and 17 diving groups). Participants are set to compete for 45 sets of medals in the swimming and 26 sets of medals in the diving.

This is a playground to evaluate the quality of athletes, thereby, selecting the best “fishermen” to attend the 31st SEA Games. The tournament, for that reason, is very competitive and thrilling with the participation of many famous athletes, such as: Anh Vien, Huy Hoang…

On the side of Thua Thien Hue, due to the COVID-19, the host team only had 1 male athlete - Le Ngoc Hoang participating in the diving event of double propeller, at distances of 50m, 100m and 200m, with the aims of being contact with the professionals and getting more experiences.

At this tournament, swimming competitions took place from March 1 to 6. The results of the top 3 of the teams belonged to: Army, An Giang and Ho Chi Minh City delegations.

Diving competitions will take place from March 9 to 12. It is expected that the top 3 of the teams will be a competition between delegations of Army, Thanh Hoa, Hai Duong and Ho Chi Minh City.
