With the theme "Cultural heritage with integration and development", Hue Festival 2024 will be held with consecutive activities throughout 2024.
The Spring Festival, themed "Spring in the Ancient Capital", will take place from January to March, featuring royal festivals and unique traditional and folk festivals, with the highlight being the Opening program of the 2024 Hue Four Season Festival and the Ban Soc ceremony; together with many royal and folk Tet activities, which are extremely diverse and unique, with Tet welcoming customs, traditional Tet cultural spaces, entertainment activities in the spring of Hue ancient city, and commemorating Thua Thien Hue's Liberation Day.
The Summer Festival, themed "The Shining Imperial City", will take place from April to June, with the highlight being Hue Festival Week 2024 under the theme "Cultural heritage with integration and development", scheduled from June 7 to 12.
The Fall Festival, themed "Hue in Autumn", will take place from July to September, with the highlight being the activities for the Mid-Autumn Festival such as the 2024 Hue International Lantern Festival, combined with display, installation, lantern procession, and unicorn - lion - dragon dance performance, etc.
The Winter Festival, themed "Winter in Hue", will take place from October to December, with a number of new festival activities that make the winter atmosphere in Hue more vibrant and warmer, while also creating various types of entertainment for visitors during their stay in Hue Ancient Capital, with the highlight being the International Music Week and the Countdown program to welcome the New Year.
With the orientation of Four Season Festival, activities at Hue Festival 2024 will be held throughout the year so as to honor and promote the unique values of Hue culture and Vietnamese culture, exploiting the strengths of scenic spots, types of festivals, and spiritual tourism, and attracting visitors. At the same time, the activities contribute to promoting the socio-economic development so that Thua Thien Hue truly becomes the typical Festival City of Vietnam.
