According to the Organizing Committee, the VnExpress Marathon Hue 2026 will officially take place on the morning of April 19, with three distances: 21km, 10km, and 5km; starting at 4:00 AM, 5:00 AM, and 6:00 AM, respectively.
By participating in these distances, runners will have the opportunity to experience “distinct Hue” routes, passing by the poetic Huong River and the green tree-shaded Le Duan and Le Loi streets; as well as landmarks tied to Hue’s history and culture, including Truong Tien Bridge, Da Vien Bridge, Phu Xuan Bridge, Quoc Hoc Hue High School for the Gifted, and the Imperial Citadel, etc.
In addition to the adult races, the Kun Marathon, a free race for children aged 6 to 10, will take place on the morning of April 18 at the Noon Gate Square area.
To ensure safety for the athletes, the Organizing Committee have arranged 10 water stations and 8 medical stations along the course, along with more than 900 volunteers, medical staff, and police officers... To deliver a complete experience for runners, the Organizing Committee have also prepared race kits including essential items such as running T-shirts, bibs, bags, gifts, and medals featuring designs inspired by Hue’s heritage, combining traditional elements with the spirit of modern sports.
At the press conference, Mr. Tran Huu Thuy Giang, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee, shared that through many seasons, the VnExpress Marathon in Hue has consistently left an impression with its poetic routes, peaceful atmosphere, and the friendly cheers of local people. The VnExpress Marathon Hue 2026 is not only a sporting event that promotes Hue’s tourism and cultural image, but also a bridge connecting sports and heritage, physical activity and experience, thereby contributing to promoting the sustainable tourism development of the city.
