Students learn about cultural heritages and enjoy royal games

HNN.VN - On May 18, the Hue Monuments Conservation Center held a program for students to visit and explore cultural heritages at the Hue Museum of Royal Antiquities.

Students from Phoenix school and some primary and junior secondary schools in Hue city  went sightseeing and learned about the Hue royal cultural heritages through the Nguyen dynasty’s antiquities at the museum. They also explored the mother-of-pearl inlaying steps to make delicate tools used in the ancient imperial palace.

In this program, students also had opportunities to experience and show their creativity with Hue kites through painting activities and participating in royal and folk games.

According to Mrs Huynh Thi Thanh Van, Director of the Hue Museum of Royal Antiquities, this is an activity held on the occasion of the International Museum Day 2018 (May 18) with the theme “Hyper-connected museum: new approaches, new publics.” The program helps students approach Hue cultural values. In addition to knowledge, the hands-on experience will excite their interest to learn and love cultural values more.

Nguyen Hoang Minh Quan, a grade 3 student from Le Loi primary school (Hue city) shared: “Thanks to this program, I can learn about the Nguyen Dynasty’s history and experience helpful activities. By combining learning and playing, I can remember and use the knowledge better.”
