Spreading the spirit of foreign language practice among union members and youth

HNN.VN - On the morning of November 2nd, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Agency and Business Union collaborated with AMES English Center to organize the final round of the 2nd English Competition for members and youth of the Agency and Business Block in 2024.

 A candidate showcasing his talent in the English eloquence

The competition, which lasted over 1 month, attracted nearly 500 candidates from many unions within the block. After two rounds, the organizing committee selected 10 excellent candidates for the final round.

In this final round, contestants competed in a contest of eloquence, in which, each participant presented on a topic drawn from a list provided by the organizing committee in a maximum of 7 minutes. Notable topics included such topics as introducing significant landmarks during Uncle Ho’s time in Hue; solutions for advancing the union and youth movements in the coming years; and ways to promote Hue’s images in general and Hue cuisine in particular to domestic and international visitors, etc.

Secretary of the Provincial Agency and Business Union, Mr. Nguyen Huu Trinh stated that the competition is held to create a healthy and beneficial playground, as well as create favorable environment and conditions for the cadres and union members, and youth to enhance their talents, skill, and spirit in learning and using foreign languages. This activity will contribute to training and improving human resource quality, especially in foreign language proficiency, helping to develop high quality human resources.
