| The program attracted performances of many young artists |
This is a special program celebrating the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19th, 1945 - August 19th, 2025) and National Day (September 2nd), as well as it is one of the key activities of the “Proud Vietnam” media campaign launched by Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee.
In Hue, the program featured singers such as Phuong Thanh, Phuong My Chi, Haley, Muoi, and Tieu Minh Phung… Particularly notable was the participation of the music production group DTAP, who, together with the Central Youth Union, continued the “Proud Vietnam” story through its cross-country music journey. With vibrant, heroic and youthful Vietnamese songs, the program drew a large and enthusiastic cheering crowd of locals and young people.
According to the Central Youth Union, the “Proud Vietnam Journey” was inspired by the art troupes from wartimes that brought music to the frontlines, lifting soldiers’ spirits and spreading patriotism. In peacetime, the journey carries on that legacy with youthful music, community connection, and the celebration of Vietnamese cultural values.
The program was launched on August 19th in Ho Chi Minh City and is planned to follow the historic Truong Son Trail, passing through provinces and cities including Dak Lak, Da Nang, Hue, Quang Tri, Nghe An, and Phu Tho, before concluding in Hanoi on September 2nd. Each stop along the way becomes a “stage” to tell stories of history, culture, and the aspirations of the Vietnamese people.
In solidarity with local communities affected by Typhoon No. 5, the Hue stopover of the journey included a fundraising event, with contributions from residents, audiences, and artists. The proceeds will support people in Nghe An - the next stop of the “Proud Vietnam Journey”.
