Over 150 students in difficult circumstances receiving Chi Thien Fund for Children’s scholarships

HNN.VN - On the morning of September 12, Chi Thien Fund for Children organized a program to give its phase two studious scholarships 2018 to students in difficult circumstances.

Giving scholarships to children in difficult circumstances

The program gave 151 scholarships worth VND 700,000 each (including VND 500,000 in cash and VND 200,000 in Mid-Autumn Festival gift) to 151 students in difficult circumstances from the districts of Quang Dien, Phu Loc, and Phu Vang; from Huong Thuy, and Huong Tra towns, and from Hue City.

Chi Thien Fund for Children is a non-profit social charity organization that helps children in difficult circumstances access to health care and education, under the financial sponsorship of Zhi-Shan Foundation Taiwan.

Besides giving scholarships, the fund also provides free vocational training for teenagers with disabilities, and sets up reading movement in rural schools annually.
