More than 5,800 students receive free examinations in School Dental Health program

HNN.VN - On April 21, Hue Dental Hospital, in collaboration with Operation Smile, organized a humanitarian medical examination and treatment team integrated into School Dental Health program in Huong Tra Town and Phu Vang District.

Students received examinations and treatment for oral health-related diseases

Taking place from April 21 to 25, the examination team provided services to over 5,800 students from 9 schools in Huong Tra Town and 7 schools in Phu Vang District. The main activities included check-ups, fillings for cavities, fluoride application for cavity prevention, oral hygiene counseling, and gift-giving to students.

Following the examinations, cases requiring specialized treatment for oral diseases will be transferred by the team to Hue Dental Hospital for treatment. Patients will have all medical examination and treatment costs covered.

It is known that in addition to the doctors and medical staff of Hue Dental Hospital, the School Dental Health program also includes 30 volunteers from the United States, including 22 dentists and Vietnamese-American doctors.
