| Awarding graduation certificates to new graduates |
This academic year, the University of Foreign Languages has 1,026 students eligible for graduation; of which, 28 students graduated early and 988 students graduated on time.
Among the 1,026 new graduates who received their diplomas, 141 students achieved the title of “Excellent Student”, representing 13.74 percent of the total graduates. The rest 557 students earned the title of “Good Student”, accounting for 54.48 percent of the graduates.
At the graduation ceremony, the University of Foreign Languages honored 1 overall valedictorian student and 9 ones of the faculties. Additionally, Hue University awarded certificates of merit to 31 students who achieved excellent academic and training achievements throughout the course, and 1 student who won a prize in an international competition.
On the same day, the University of Foreign Languages held a ceremony to award master's degrees to graduates of the 2021 - 2023 postgraduate program. Among the graduates, 14 received their degrees in Theory of English Language Teaching, 6 in Comparative Linguistics, 2 in English Language, and 7 in Chinese Language.
At the graduation ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Thi Hong Nhung, Rector of the University of Foreign Languages, conveyed to new bachelors and new masters that foreign language proficiency is a “passport” to enter the competitive labor market. At the same time, to maintain and develop this proficiency, they must continue to learn, be hardworking, and persevere.
Foreign languages are the tools that allow us to travel far and fast. On that future path, it is necessary to learn how to use them to analyze issues deeply and objectively, avoiding a one-sided perspective or hasty conclusions. No sustainable success comes easily or quickly, and so we must persevere through challenges. These difficulties will eventually pass, and they will serve as opportunities for self-affirmation.
