Running from October 18, 2025, to March 2026, the contest is attended by students from 27 Secondary schools. Contestants will compete across three rounds: commune/ward level, city level, and regional finals. In the final round, the top teams from Hue City will compete against peers from four other provinces and cities consisting of Quang Tri, Da Nang, Quang Ngai, and Gia Lai.

The contest features a dynamic format, blending both online and in-person components. It includes engaging and relatable segments such as “Setting Sail,” “Riding the Waves,” “Docking,” and “Marking Sovereignty.” Through these activities, students deepen their understanding of Vietnam’s maritime history, geography, and laws, while showcasing their knowledge, skills, and teamwork spirit in a competitive, educational environment.

This meaningful initiative serves as a valuable platform to ignite students’ pride and love for their homeland, raise awareness of national sovereignty over seas and islands, and promote each citizen’s responsibility in building and defending the country. It also aims to inspire greater confidence and a strong sense of responsibility among the younger generation - the future owners of the nation. Moreover, the program incorporates life skills education, school violence prevention, and the nurturing of revolutionary ideals, resilience, and the will to overcome challenges among students.
