Chairman Phan Ngoc Tho said that in the past 45 days, Thua Thien Hue had not found patients positive for COVID-19 in the province area. However, at a national level - Vietnam is still a disease-affected country. Thua Thien Hue is in group 2 – medium risk group; and located next to Da Nang, which is classified as the high risk group (group 1); it takes two more days to complete the quarantine period of all the people coming back from Laos, etc., so it is impossible to be subjective, but it needs to be more active in the prevention and control of COVID-19 epidemic.

The province will continue to ease the inner ring of some services in the direction of tight control, maintain tightening the outer ring until April 30. During this period, departments, agencies, sectors, and localities seek and build a set of criteria for assessing the degree of readiness with legal and scientific basis, in accordance with the reality situation in the sectors, including: reopening accommodation establishments and tourist attractions which are eligible to return to operation; letting students return to school in "safe schools"; reopening and easing a number of service sectors; and workers getting back to work in economic zones, industrial parks, and businesses, etc.
