Hue hosts the U23 National Basketball Championship for the first time

HNN.VN - The U23 National Basketball Championship 2022 has just been opened on the evening of March 12 at the Provincial Sports Center. This is the first time for Thua Thien Hue to host this championship.

The championship attracts more than 200 athletes in 32 male and female teams, from ten typical clubs across the country, to compete in four contents, including 5x5 men, 5x5 women, 3x3 men, and 3x3 women.

The U23 National Basketball Championship 2022 is under the annual national competition system. According to the regulations, athletes, who are in the Vietnam national team, are not allowed to participate in this championship. However, thanks to the level, which is assessed to be close to professional clubs, the championship still promises to have quite high professional quality, especially with the presence of some teams from the South-western region such as: Soc Trang, Can Tho, and Hau Giang.

From the host province, Thua Thien Hue team (T HUB Thua Thien) is participating in two contents, including 5x5 men and 3x3 men, with the goal of accumulating experience, creating a foundation to maintain and develop the basketball movement in the near future.

The championship will end on March 23.
