Recently, Hue Central Hospital has invested in upgrading its information technology infrastructure, server room, and data storage systems. At the same time, it has deployed hospital management software that meets standards for data interoperability, digital signing, e-signatures, and information security in accordance with regulations. Many medical record forms have been digitized, with the application of digital signatures and electronic authentication, moving towards the complete elimination of paper-based records.
The implementation of the electronic medical records system has brought many positive results across various aspects. Professionally, it helps reduce errors and improve the quality of medical examination and treatment. Furthermore, it also helps to utilize patient information more effectively, and support faster, more accurate diagnoses. As the electronic medical records system is put into operation, patients will receive benefits as waiting times are reduced, results can be quickly accessed through the online portal, VNeID, or VSSID, and registration and payment procedures have become simpler and more convenient.

Addressing the ceremony, Prof. Dr. Pham Nhu Hiep, Director of Hue Central Hospital emphasized: “In the context of the healthcare sector entering a period of strong digital transformation, modern hospital management has become a decisive factor in improving operational efficiency. The application of digital technology in comprehensive management, covering medical record management, as well as the optimization of medical examination and treatment processes, and the management of finance and human resources, ultimately aims to enhance the quality of support services. This, in turn, provides patients with a medical experience that is safe, fast, friendly, and effective. Patients are not only cared for with high-level medical expertise but also served in a civilized, modern hospital environment that minimizes cumbersome procedures and optimizes treatment time. This is also a key factor in building trust and lasting satisfaction among the people”.
Previously, on August 19, 2025, Hue Central Hospital also signed a cooperation program with Hue City Department of Science and Technology to jointly implement comprehensive digital transformation activities in healthcare, including the integration of the electronic medical records system, online medical examination and treatment registration, and public healthcare services into the city’s unified digital platform.
