Everyone preventing and fighting back against floods

TTH.VN - Heavy rain throughout November 15 caused thousands of houses in key areas across the province to be seriously flooded. The flood also inundated and divided many low-lying areas in Quang Dien, Phong Dien, Phu Vang, Phu Loc districts, etc.

Floods turned the central streets of Hue City into rivers. People using boats to travel on the morning of November 15 

In Hue City, many roads were deeply flooded, causing traffic jams. In some downtown areas, people had to travel by boat.

With the motto "Ensuring the safety of life and property for the people; Let not any people suffer from hunger or cold", the work of evacuating people, responding to floods, and overcoming the consequences of natural disasters involved the entire political system. In particular, thousands of people in flooded areas and isolated areas were evacuated to safe places. On-site flood prevention and control plans were promoted with the high spirit.

On November 30, the National Assembly issued Resolution No. 175/2024/QH15 regarding the establishment of Hue City as a centrally governed municipality (NQ175). Simultaneously, the Standing Committee of the National Assembly issued Resolution 1314/NQ-UBTVQH15 on the arrangement of district- and commune-level administrative units in Hue City for the 2023–2025 period (NQ 1314). These resolutions will take effect on January 1, 2025.
