Cooperation in digital transformation, smart city building
HNN.VN - On September 16, Mr. Nguyen Van Phuong, Deputy Secretary of Hue City Party Committee, Chairman of Hue City People's Committee, had a courtesy meeting with Mr. To Dung Thai, Chairman of the Member Council of Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group (VNPT).

At the meeting, Mr. To Dung Thai expressed his delight at the warm welcome from the leaders of Hue City. He affirmed that VNPT always places great importance on its strategic partnership with Hue, and is honored to accompany the locality in many important programs.
“We commit providing comprehensive and sustainable solutions that contribute to realizing the city's aspiration for a complete digital transformation, building Hue into a smart city, developing strongly and sustainably. VNPT is ready to immediately implement the plans agreed upon by both sides, from telecommunications infrastructure to digital services for residents and businesses,” stated Mr. Thai.
In recent times, VNPT has worked closely with Hue City to implement several important projects, including: building modern telecommunications infrastructure, developing a public Wi-Fi system, and providing big data services for urban management; as well as deploying the online public service portal and the one-stop electronic system; contributing to the foundation of a smart city with amenities serving both visitors and residents. These results have helped improve the efficiency of State management and service quality, while promoting the image of a dynamic and modern Hue.
Expressing his pleasure in welcoming VNPT's leaders to visit and work in Hue, Mr. Nguyen Van Phuong emphasized that Hue is focusing on accelerating digital transformation in all fields, with VNPT being one of the city's key partners. The city highly appreciate the results that the Group has accompanied Hue in recent times, from supporting the deployment of telecommunications infrastructure and online public services to smart city solutions. The city will continue to coordinate with VNPT to develop digital platforms in line with the Ministry of Science and Technology's guidelines, build key databases, deploy synchronous telecommunications infrastructure, and develop 5G network, while also organizing training courses and workshops to enhance digital transformation capacity for civil servants and people.
Mr. Nguyen Van Phuong hopes that VNPT will continue to leverage its strengths, and accompany the city on its journey to become a high-quality cultural, tourism, and service hub, and a model for the application of technology in governance and public services.
