Presenting health insurance cards to disadvantaged residents in Kim Tra Ward

The program is part of the “Presenting Health Insurance Cards to people in difficult circumstances, bringing a warm Tet to the poor in Binh Ngo Spring”. It is an annual activity organized by Vietnam Social Insurance, with the aim of enabling more people to receive healthcare and health protection through health insurance.

At the ceremony, representatives of the City Social Insurance Agency and sponsors presented 697 health insurance cards to disadvantaged residents in the ward who had not yet been covered by health insurance. These beneficiaries had been reviewed and listed by local Party committees and authorities for receiving health insurance cards, with the goal of bringing a warm Tet to the people and spreading the program’s humanitarian values.

Previously, on November 21st, 2025, Vietnam Social Insurance mobilized four banks to support the donation of health insurance cards to provinces nationwide; among them, the City Social Insurance Agency of Hue was allocated a total amount of nearly 1,2 billion VND. In addition, the City Social Insurance Agency called for contributions from agencies and enterprises across Hue City and, to date, has received more than 171 million VND in donations.

With total contributions exceeding 1,37 billion VND, the City Social Insurance Agency reviewed and compiled a list to present 4.308 health insurance cards to people in difficult circumstances living in the city, including ethnic minority residents; pupils and students; and individuals from households facing economic hardship.
