The statue of the late musician Trinh Cong Son to be erected in November

HNN.VN - The statue of the late musician Trinh Cong Son presented to the People’s Committee of Hue City by a businessman in Ho Chi Minh City has now been brought to the headquarters of Hue Green Park Center.

On October 19, Mr. Le Nhu Chinh, Director of Hue Green Park Center informed that the work of placing the statue of Trinh Cong Son at the park named after him, along the bank of the Huong River, and belonging to Gia Hoi ward was expected to carry out in November.

According to Mr. Chinh, the center is coordinating with Gia Hoi ward to check and monitor the situation of people encroachment at Trinh Cong Son Park. Along with the supervision, the center will renovate the park to prepare for the statue placement. “We’ve already constructed the statue’s pedestal”, said Mr. Chinh.

Previously, the People’s Committee of Hue City sent a document to the Provincial People’s Committee on receiving and placing the portrait sculpture of the late musician Trinh Cong Son. The statue was presented by Mr. Le Hung Manh – General Director of a construction company based in Ho Chi Minh City. The statue was made by the sculptor Truong Dinh Que. The statue is made of bronze with 1.7m high, 1.6m wide, in bronze color. The full-body statue is made with sitting position with the weight about 500kg.
