Taking Ho Quyen - Voi Re relics into operation soon to serve tourism

HNN.VN - After carrying out a field inspection of the project of Ho Quyen – Voi Re relics embellishment on March 21, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Phan Ngoc Tho required the People’s Committee of Hue city and related agencies to accelerate the speed of implementing the project to effectively exploit the cultural and historical values of the Ho Quyen - Voi Re relics, turning this place into an attractive and unique tourist destination of Vietnam.

The Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee in the field inspection of Ho Quyen – Voi Re relics

In the report of the City People’s Committee, the technical infrastructure project of residential areas serving the embellishment of Ho Quyen – Voi Re relics (belonging to Phuong Duc and Thuy Bieu wards) includes the following items: residential land, land for green trees, land for trading, parking lot, land for transportation, and technical infrastructure, etc., with the total area of 4.99 hectares.

The total investment capital of the project is expected to be over 94 billion VND, in which the site clearance costs 54 billion VND, the expense for construction is over 40 billion VND. The People’s Council of Hue City approved the investment policy of the project in December 2020. At present, the People’s Committee of Hue city, the investor, is planning, evaluating, and submitting the project for approval after consulting the related units and departments, as well as taking the site clearance.

Ho Quyen - Voi Re relics are one of the unique cultural architectural complexes, a constituent part of the Complex of Hue Monuments. According to the inspection, Chairman Phan Ngoc Tho said that the embellishment of these relics not only contributes to restoring the cultural and historical values but also creates a destination that attracts tourists in the country and abroad.

To make the project be implemented on schedule, the Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee suggested the City People’s Committee, an investor, together with related units to speed up the settlement of stages in investment procedures, at the same time urgently carrying out the site clearance, handing over the clean ground for project to be implemented soon.

Chairman Phan Ngoc Tho also noted that during the site clearance, it is necessary to pay attention to the resettlement, ensuring the high consensus of local people throughout the process of project implementation.
