Sustainable development through green growth, climate change adaptation

HNN.VN - On the afternoon of September 22, within the framework of the Hue Innovation Day 2023 Forum, the Vietnam National Institute of Culture and Arts Studies collaborated with the Thua Thien Hue Institute for Development Studies to organize a scientific workshop entitled “Thua Thien Hue - A distinctive cultural heritage city of Vietnam, sustainable development through green growth, and adaptation to climate change.”

Hue City: Heading towards the sustainable smart urban development

At the workshop, several key issues were highlighted, including: Thua Thien Hue's creative economy in the context of promoting cultural heritage in Hue, as well as the Central Region and the whole country; tourism development through creative economy and cultural industry in Thua Thien Hue province; indigenous material-based innovation; and opportunities for preserving and transforming the value of “Hue Royal Court Music” when joining the UNESCO Creative City network.

Some presentations touched on topics such as organizing a public space system in Gia Hoi Ancient Town to become a distinctive tourism and commercial area of Hue City, focusing on expressing the goal of developing Thua Thien Hue towards creativity.

“The Hue Forum - Creativity for sustainable development in 2023” provides an opportunity for organizations and businesses to exchange and learn about the ideas and models from experts, scientists, investors, and the business community in making suggestions to build the economy. It also aims to propose specific policies to jointly develop the strengths of Thua Thien Hue quickly and sustainably.
