Phuoc Tich ancient village through visual arts

“Phuoc Tich Ancient Village through visual arts” was the theme of an exhibition held by Hue Museum of Fine Arts on the afternoon of November 23 at Diem Phung Thi Art Exhibition House, located at 17 Le Loi Street, Hue City. The event was to celebrate the Vietnam Cultural Heritage Day.

The exhibition displayed 38 artworks by 37 authors who were also lecturers and students from the Faculty of Architecture, University of Sciences; The University of Arts, Hue University, and other high schools in Phong Dien district.

The exhibition featured creative works in the forms of sketching, direct painting, and pottery-making experiencing in Phuoc Tich ancient village, jointly organized by these institutions in early October 2022.

Using different techniques and materials such as acrylic, pen nib, paper crayons, dó paper, charcoal, and watercolor, the authors have shown the heritage beauty of the ancient village. Some of the most commonly featured aspects included the gardens, the pottery kilns, The Gold Apple temple, hundred-year-old Rường houses, the boats, the river wharves, and the village’s ceramic products.
