“Living with heritage"

HNN.VN - That was the theme of an international fine arts exhibition, which was held on the evening of August 2 by the Arts Teacher Training Club in collaboration with the Engaging With Vietnam, the Department of Culture and Sports of Thua Thien Hue Province, the University of Arts - Hue University, and the International Faculty - Hue University.

This is an activity in response to the 14th Engaging With Vietnam (EWV) Conference, which are taking place in Hue from August 1 to 6.

The exhibition is pervasive, attracting the participation of a large number of domestic and international lecturers, artists, creators and designers. The exhibition introduces to the public, as well as domestic and international art lovers 130 fine arts works; among them are 115 domestic ones. The exhibition has the presence of 15 international fine arts works, from 6 countries around the world, namely Portugal, Australia, Palestine, Laos, Japan and Thailand.

These 130 fine arts works are expressed by visual artists in a wide variety of types, and styles and in various means of expression, such as silk, oil paint, lacquer, acrylic, watercolor, and iron pen, synthesis and video art, etc. From their points of view, the visual artists transformed the physical heritages into visual fine arts works, carrying clear impression, with ancient, mossy and quiet beauty, and blending into the colors of paintings. All of them create a unique nuance, providing new vitality and serving the public.

The exhibition is organized with the aim to create a space to connect and promote culture and images of the people and country of Vietnam to international friends. At the same time, it is also an opportunity for cultures of different countries to exchange, converge, share experiences, exchange expertise, and open up cooperation in many different aspects. The exhibition will display the fine arts works for 2 months, and be continuously open to the public at the University of Arts - Hue University.
