Hue Fine Arts has always maintained its position as the art center of the country

HNN.VN - Nguyen Thien Duc, a painter, Chairman of the Provincial Fine Arts Association, affirmed the above statement at an art exhibition on the occasion of the 71st anniversary of the Vietnamese fine art tradition (1951-2022) opening on the afternoon of December 9 at the University of Arts, Hue University.

Fine art exhibition on the occasion of the 71st anniversary of Vietnamese fine art tradition (1951-2022)

The event was organized by the Provincial Union of Literary and Art Associations, the Vietnam Fine Arts Association, Thua Thien Hue branch, the Provincial Fine Arts Association and the University of Arts, Hue University.

The exhibition displays 55 works by 48 authors from different generations. These are new pieces, covering many genres such as painting, graphics, sculpture on various materials such as acrylic, oil paint, lacquer, synthetic materials, woodblock printing, iron pen, trucchigraphy, wood carving, bronze and metal sculptures…

Not only being rich in materials and shaping techniques, the exhibition also has a variety of expression styles from abstract, semi-abstract to cubism, impressionism, expressionism, and realistic depiction.

According to the painter Nguyen Thien Duc, Chairman of the Provincial Fine Arts Association, although it is not complete, the gallery partly gives an overview of the appearance of Thua Thien Hue's art in the present.

On this occasion, Hue Fine Arts Association admitted 4 new members and awarded many related prizes to the members attending the exhibition.
