| Tourists visiting Hue relics on April 30 |
On the first day of the holiday (April 29), thanks to the favorable weather condition, most tourist destinations in the province attracted a great number of tourists.
The Complex of Hue Monuments welcomed over 12.000 tourist arrivals; at beach tourist destinations such as Thuan An and Canh Duong recorded a number of tourists at over 5.000 arrivals; other beaches such as Lang Co, Vinh Thanh, Tan My also recorded a large number of visitors coming; while the waterfalls tourist attractions also welcomed a significant number of tourists on the first day, etc.
On April 30, the heavy rain affected many tourist destinations in the provincial area, causing a decline in tourist arrivals to many attractions than the first day, especially the beaches and waterfalls destinations.
Meanwhile, the number of tourists visiting relics witnessed a sharp increase compared to the first day. According to the statistics, by the end of April 30, over 17.800 tourists bought tickets to visit the heritage, in which there were over 15.400 domestic tourists and 2.400 international visitors.
On this occasion, Hue tourism organizes various lively and attractive activities. Notably is the Hue Traditional Craft Festival 2023, with a chain of nearly 50 activities taking place in the Hue City central area. In Phu Vang, there is the festival “Scent of Lagoon and Sea”, while beach tourism festival is held in Quang Dien district, and Huong Thuy has a village market festival taking place at Thanh Toan tiled-roof Bridge, etc.
Director of the Tourism Department Nguyen Van Phuc said that, hotels, even 5-star ones and the system of homestay in the provincial area have confirmed that there was no room available in the first three nights of the holiday (From April 29 to May 1). Till the end of April 30, although there was no specific statistics, after the first two days of the holiday, the total number of tourists coming to Hue was estimated at over 30.000 arrivals; in which the number of staying tourists was estimated at over 25.000 arrivals.
On the next days, Hue tourism keeps on welcoming tourists with various attractive activities and events.
