According to the information announced by Hue City People’s Committee, it had issued a plan for Hue Ao Dai Week 2026. The event aims to tap into the unique cultural values of Hue’s ao dai, build a tourism image associated with the traditional attire, contribute to promoting the brand “Hue - the Capital of Ao dai”, and stimulate tourism development.

In addition to the “Ao dai Connecting Tourism and Heritage” program held on the morning of July 3, an opening art performance themed “The Flow of Hue Ao dai” will take place in the same evening along the Huong River, bringing together numerous artists and models to recreate the historical values and enduring beauty of the ao dai across different periods.

The week will also feature a range of other key events, including a flower and incense offering ceremony at the tomb of Lord Nguyen Phuc Khoat; the parades and tribute activities to honor the ancestors; as well as the “Viet Phong Convergence - Procession of a Hundred Flowers” show, with the participation of over 1,500 people in traditional costumes.

Alongside these are community activities such as the “Ao Dai Through the Streets” cycling event and “Hue Ao Dai - The Fragrance of Thanh Tra pomelo”…

At the same time, localities and agencies across the city will organize a wide range of response activities, including ao dai show, photo contests, seminars, and exhibitions… Officials, civil servants, public employees, and workers are also encouraged to dress in ao dai throughout the duration of the event.
