At the working session, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh emphasized the role of aviation network in developing tourism and services, attracting investment, and expanding cultural and economic exchanges with domestic and international localities. The city hopes that Bamboo Airways will enhance the operation of existing routes, and research the opening of new routes connecting Hue with regional and international centers of tourism, finance, and trade.
Hue City is targeting the opening of a new Hue - Busan route, creating an additional direct connection axis with South Korea's tourism market, currently one of the largest sources of international visitors.
Affirming Hue's tourism potential, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh stated: “With the advantage of being a heritage ancient capital, and a center for culture, tourism, cuisine, and festivals, Hue has the capability to become an attractive destination for visitors from South Korea and other international markets. If flight connectivity is expanded, the city expects the number of international visitors to grow strongly, contributing to increased tourism revenue, the expansion of the night-time economy, and the creation of new jobs for the local community.”
Mr. Truong Phuong Thanh, General Director of Bamboo Airways, expressed interest in and highly evaluated the growth potential of Hue market. “We highly value Hue's potential for tourism development and connectivity. Bamboo Airways commits to researching and promoting plans to open Hue - Busan route, as well as other potential international routes,” shared the General Director of Bamboo Airways.
The working session also focused on discussing plans to strengthen the operation of domestic routes, improve passenger amenities, and boost cooperation in tourism promotion activities and international events, aiming for the sustainable socio-economic development of the city. Thereby, the working session affirmed the spirit of cooperation between Hue City and Bamboo Airways, moving toward the development of an effective aviation system that contributes to promoting the growth of tourism, services, and economy of the locality.
