Leaders of the University of Education, Hue University presenting Tet gifts to students

This activity is annually held by the Youth Union of the University of Education, Hue University with an aim to support disadvantaged students in returning home for Tet, as many come from remote and mountainous areas or belong to poor and near-poor households, as well as those are orphaned, or have experienced personal hardships, which led them to the hesitation of buying homebound ticket during the year-end peak travel period.

The review and selection of beneficiaries were carried out transparently and objectively, ensuring the program reached the right recipients, with priority given to students in especially disadvantaged circumstances. Following the university’s review process, 120 students were supported with transportation to return home and unite with their families for Tet.

In addition to providing transportation support, the University of Education, Hue University, also rolled out a range of practical accompanying activities, including the presentation of Tet gifts and the organization of programs such as “Connecting Tet”, “Sharing Spring”, creating a warm and festive atmosphere ahead of the holiday.

According to Mr. Phan Thanh Lam, Secretary of the Youth Union of the University of Education, beyond providing material support, the program also fosters a spirit of sharing and social responsibility among students. Each departing bus not only brings students closer to their families but also conveys the university’s care and companionship, offering them more motivation to focus on their studies and strive to move forward in life.
