Addressing the program, Colonel Nguyen Huu Thanh, Secretary General of the Military Business Association, said that the activity was held to support and encourage people affected by prolonged storms and flooding, as well as Vietnamese Heroic Mothers and families of wounded soldiers and revolutionary martyrs facing difficult circumstances. He noted that the initiative was a practical and meaningful effort reflecting the spirit of mutual support and solidarity, contributing to strengthening the close bonds between the military and the people and to promote the noble qualities of Uncle Ho’s soldiers.
According to Colonel Nguyen Huu Thanh, natural disasters in 2025 caused severe damage and significantly affected people’s lives, particularly in Hue. Driven by a strong sense of social responsibility, the Military Business Association, together with enterprises under the Ministry of National Defense, joined hands to mobilize resources to support residents in overcoming these hardships.

Presenting gifts to support families in difficult circumstances |
At the program, the Military Business Association presented gifts to 10 families of wounded soldiers and revolutionary martyrs, 17 Vietnamese Heroic Mothers in Hue City, and 600 gift packages, each worth VND 1 million, to disadvantaged households in the wards and communes of Thuan Hoa, An Cuu, Phu Ho, Phong Thai, Phu Loc, and A Luoi 4. Although modest in material value, the gifts reflected care and solidarity, helping local residents welcome 2026 Binh Ngo Lunar New Year in a warm and compassionate spirit.
Standing Vice Chairwoman of Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city Nguyen Thi Ai Van expressed her appreciation and sincere thanks to the Military Business Association and sponsoring units for their companionship and support for disadvantaged families, contributing to spreading the spirit of compassion and social responsibility throughout the city.

| Presenting gifts to locals in Phu Loc Commune |
On the same day, the People’s Committee of Phu Loc Commune organized a Tet gift-giving program titled “For the Poor” for local households and students in difficult circumstances, helping to bring a warm and compassionate atmosphere to the community ahead of the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year.
In the framework of the program, the organizing committee presented 168 gift packages, each worth VND 1 million in cash, with a total value of VND 168 million. The funding was provided by 2 native sons of Phu Loc Commune, Mr. Phan Van Toan of Trung Phuoc Tuong Village and Mr. Tran Dinh Uy Vu of Dong Luu Village, who are currently living and working away from their hometown.
Speaking at the program, Ms. Cai Thi Cam Huong, Vice Chairwoman of Phu Loc Commune People’s Committee, expressed her gratitude for the care and support shown by the two natives living away from home, who have consistently turned their hearts toward their hometown and accompanied local authorities in social welfare efforts. She also encouraged students from disadvantaged backgrounds to continue striving in their studies, cultivating good moral values, and becoming responsible and useful citizens for their families and society.
