This event was part of VietHED project (Vietnam Heritage Education), aiming to honor and commemorate the 20th anniversary of Vietnam Cultural Heritage Day (November 23, 2005 - November 23, 2025), while also expressing gratitude to the artisans who have dedicated their lives to preserving Vietnamese knowledge and culture.
The event featured the participation of many artisans from prominent traditional crafts, such as Lung Tung Drums, Thanh Tien paper flowers, Sinh village paintings, bo mut cakes, decorative pillows, ceramic inlay, Xam huong, and Kitchen God figurine making crafts.... At the same time, it brought together several young Hue-based brands active in the fields of handicrafts and arts, including Sap Nghe, Mire Craft Shop, and Tocdo… helping to create a space for exchange and fostering the community’s creative spirit.
The program offered participants a “special feast” of cultural and traditional craft experiences rich in depth. In a cozy setting, the artisans shared stories of their lifelong dedication to their crafts, helping visitors gain a deeper understanding of the value of handicraft work and the heritage of Hue’s traditional villages.
The products were showcased, demonstrated, and available for on-site experience, providing viewers, especially students, with vivid impressions, helping to spread a love for traditional crafts within the community.
According to the organizers, in contemporary life, traditional cultural values continue to serve as a vital source that sustains and spreads Vietnamese identity. The festival became a gathering of “heritage treasures”, where participants could directly touch the materials, feel the pulse of culture, and experience new creative expressions.
To create a heritage space told through fresh inspiration, Vietnam Cultural Heritage Festival hopes to offer experiences that allow each person to discover a deeply personal, intimate, and human connection with culture.
Vietnam Heritage Education Project was among the top 12 Youth Startup Initiatives of 2025 in a competition organized by IOM, implemented by BambuUP, and funded by the UK Government. It is a heritage education ecosystem, offering cultural experiences, aiming at fostering the holistic development of students.
It’s known that VietHED provides opportunities for students to connect with traditional crafts and Vietnamese culture through experiential learning, aiming for holistic development and global integration. VietHED also accompanies and offers guidance to schools and educational institutions in developing heritage education programs.
