Chairman Nguyen Van Phuong affirmed that Vietnam-South Korea relations are currently at their best stage. Hue City has cooperated with many Korean partners, but the city has not yet established a local-level partnership with any specific province or city in South Korea.
Hue City hopes to actively promote cooperation activities with Korean partners in the near future, especially with Chungcheongnam Province, to foster sustainable development and shared prosperity between the two localities, based on equality, mutual respect, and friendship through exchange and cooperation initiatives.
Governor of Chungcheongnam Province - Mr. Kim Tae Heum expressed his gratitude for the warm reception by Hue City’s leaders, noting that this occasion also serves as an opportunity to promote Chungcheongnam enterprises’ products in Vietnam. He hoped that Hue City will continue to be a key partner of Chungcheongnam, and that this visit will open new opportunities for cooperation and exchange between the two localities.
To advance sustainable development and mutual prosperity, the leaders of both sides agreed to sign a Memorandum of Cooperation.

The focus is on promoting exchanges and cooperation in public policy and administration through activities such as leadership and staff exchanges, organizing training programs, and sharing of information and practical experience. Cultural cooperation will also be expanded through the exchange of materials, information, and organizing promotional activities in the fields of cultural heritage and arts, in order to respect and foster mutual understanding of the two nations’ history and culture. Both sides also aim to build a foundation for practical cooperation in industry, trade, and agriculture, while promoting investment attraction, enhancing competitiveness, and expanding trade for mutual benefit.
Additionally, they will share information about relevant fairs, forums, and local events, strengthen mutual invitations, and implement joint promotional activities to foster a spirit of friendly cooperation. Both sides will also enhance collaboration in education and human resource development by jointly building and implementing exchange programs for students, youth, and young professionals, while expanding cooperation among educational institutions to deepen understanding and strengthen bonds between future generations.
