The 45th General Assembly of the International Association of Francophone Mayors (AIMF) due to take place in Hue

With the main theme “Heritage and sustainable tourism development”, the 45th General Assembly aims to connect cities, local leaders and people, strengthen friendship and mutual trust between member local governments; seek opportunities for exchange and support cooperation in many fields, contributing to promoting peace and common prosperity among members of the International Association of Francophone Mayors in particular, and the Francophone community in general.

At the same time, the conference creates a forum to exchange about realities and challenges; share solutions to common problems related to its two key fields, including heritage and sustainable tourism development; expand cooperative relations between member localities, promote the development of cooperative projects for the direct benefit of people in the priority fields of the association and the conference.

Hue City has been an official member of the AIMF since 1992, and is one of the dynamic members, actively participating in activities to promote the expansion of cooperative relations with organizations as well as members of the Francophone community. Since then, Hue has received much support from the AIMF in the fields of training, technology transfer, as well as finance to implement social security and education projects, etc.

In 2007, Hue City was honored to be selected to host the 27th General Assembly of the AIMF. In 2025, Hue continues to be selected by the AIMF as the venue for the 45th General Assembly of the AIMF.
