Strengthening cooperation and promoting many French cultural activities in Hue

According to Chairman Vo Le Nhat, for a long time, French has played an important role in helping exchanges and promoting various fields of Hue city. France-Vietnam cooperation in recent years has always been strengthened by the city, especially in the field of culture. With the French Institute in Hue city, Hue always cares and creates conditions for the French Institute's activities in Hue to bring the desired effect of the French as well as of the authorities and people of the province and Hue city, acting as a “bridge” for the cooperation relationship between the two countries at the locality and contributing to the common development for the both sides.
Therefore, Hue city always wishes Mr. Thierry Vergon and the French side to have support for Hue's cultural activities in the coming time, supporting Hue city in maintaining cooperative relationships with cities, regions, localities and associations in France; strengthening training activities in the field of culture and heritage conservation and management for city officials.
Ao Dai Performance at Traditional Craft Festival
At the meeting, leaders of Hue city introduced programs and activities in Hue Traditional Craft Festival 2023, organized by Hue city from April 28 to May 5, 2023, in order to continue affirming the brand and position of the Festival city, continuing and promoting the achievements of Hue Traditional Craft Festivals from 2005 to present. The leaders of Hue city also invited the Attaché and French respresentatives to attend the festival.
Mr. Thierry Vergon said that he has known about Hue Traditional Craft Festival for a long time and there would be representatives from France attending the event; and, at the same time, French art troupes would be sent to participate to create a colorful atmosphere at this Traditional Craft Festival.
Within the framework of the activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and France (1973 - 2023), the Embassy of France wishes to organize an artistic lighting event in Hue in 2023. Hue City will include this event in the plan of important cultural and artistic activities in 2023.
