Stepping Up Tourism and Investment Promotion in Beijing

HNN.VN - On June 4, a delegation from Hue City, led by Mr. Tran Huu Thuy Giang, Vice Chairman of Hue City People’s Committee, had a conference to meet with Chinese tourism businesses and investors in Beijing, China. The delegation also had the participation of representatives from Hue City Department of Tourism and Hue Center for Investment Promotion, Trade, and Enterprise Support.

The conference drew over 30 representatives from tourism and investment associations, travel agencies, and investors in China, who are seeking partnership opportunities in Hue. During the event, representatives of the delegation showcased Hue’s outstanding potential and advantages as a heritage city and a distinctive cultural and tourism hub of Vietnam. Furthermore, they outlined the city’s development strategy for tourism, infrastructure, green urban growth, and digital transformation and introduced policies designed to attract investment.

During the meeting, Chinese travel businesses, groups, and investors showed keen interest in Hue’s cultural, resort and heritage tourism products, along with investment opportunities across tourism, services, infrastructure, urban development and clean energy sectors. They particularly commended the city’s green and sustainable development strategy, highlighting opportunities for collaboration in renewable energy, energy-saving technologies, and other initiatives that contribute to green growth. The exchange of views during the meeting laid the groundwork for potential partnerships, paving the way to attract many more Chinese visitor arrivals and greater inflows of high-quality investment to Hue in the future.

Through exchanging sessions and face-to-face discussions with businesses and investors, the conference helped deepen ties between Hue and its Chinese counterparts, while promoting the city’s image as a heritage city, a compelling tourism destination, and a favorable investment with green and sustainable development orientations to the international business and investment community.
