Hue City strengthens special friendly cooperative relation with Gifu province (Japan)

At the meeting, Mr. Phan Ngoc Tho thanked for the help and support of Japanese people over the time and affirmed that the potential and opportunity for cooperation between two localities are huge. Through the ODA support from Japan, Hue has had many important works in socio-economic development; and many activities on culture, education and heritage conservation have also been helped by Japan.

The Chairman of Provincial People’s Committee desired that the two provinces keep on promoting the cooperation in some fields such as training the high-quality human resources, expanding the market of medical equipment, developing the high-quality industry, developing the relationship between people of two localities, tightening the sustainable relationship between people of two nations, two provinces through the exchanges of culture, craft villages, student exchanges and investment promotion, etc. The provincial leaders will create the most favorable conditions for Gifu delegations to come to work and search for investment opportunities in Hue.

Mr. Hajime Furuta, Gifu Governor expressed his admiration for the culture, landscapes and people of Hue ancient capital. He affirmed that Thua Thien Hue and Gifu have many similarities in tourist potential, especially natural landscapes, historical relics and culture, cuisine and traditional crafts. Hence, cooperating, supporting and exchanging experiences of promoting tourism through cultural heritage potential between two localities are very appropriate. In the coming time, two localities will continue to cooperate, share experiences in the work of promoting tourist destinations; training tourist officers and investing in the construction of tourist projects, amusement parks and supporting industries and high-quality industries.
