At 09:40 a.m., 185 passengers on the flight VN1543 from Ha Noi to Hue landed at Phu Bai International Airport. The passengers, together with the captain and lead flight attendant were welcomed, given flowers and souvenirs by the leaders of the Provincial People’s Committee, the Department of Tourism, and those from the units.

The two luckiest passengers received 2 domestic round trip tickets from provincial leaders and Vietnam Airlines - Hue branch as new year gifts were Mr. Ngo Nghia Dang and Mr. Nguyen Van Ba. Furthermore, the tourism sector also gave Hue specialties and voucher to visit Hue relics to two Austrian tourists.

Other passengers on the same flight were also given souvenirs and got the chance to enjoy the welcoming traditional unicorn dance with the wish to a lucky and safe and sound new year.

In 2023, the tourism sector expects to try their best to welcome from 3 - 3.5 million tourist arrivals in 2023, including 70% - 80% domestic visitors; the total revenue from tourism can reach around 6.000 - 7.000 billion VND.
